Sonos Wireless Music System

Sonos Wireless Controller
With the Sonos® Controller in hand, you'll have instant access
to your entire digital music collection, Internet radio and select music
services from almost anywhere—inside or out. That's because the Sonos Controller
uses SonosNet™, our secure, wireless mesh network that extends the range of your
Controller throughout your entire home. Which means you don't have to run to
your PC every time you want to pick a new tune or raise the volume. You can use
up to 32 Controllers for all your ZonePlayers—like one for every room, floor or
music lover in your house.
When it comes to scrolling through music libraries, browsing
titles, viewing album art, queuing up tracks, choosing zones, and more, the
large, full-color LCD screen and scroll wheel make it a real cinch. To get
started, just pick a room, pick a song and hit play.
3.5" LCD Screen
Optional Docking Station for Re-charging the battery
Through each controller you can see what is playing in each
zone, and you can share music between zones. For example at a party you can
select all zones to share the same playlist. This will then set every zone to
play the same music. You can also select any zones you want to share and turn
off any zone you don’t want to share.

Sonos ZP100 Zone Player
The Sonos Music System requires that ONE zone player is hooked
up to the internet via a High Speed Connection. This will then give you access
to Rhapsody’s online music service and give you the ability to play over 2
million songs.
You will also have the ability to access Internet Radio Stations
without having to deal with reception issues. As long as the radio station
broadcasts on the internet, you will have the ability to play that radio station
throughout your house. The quality of the radio station is determined by the
rate that they are streaming their music. Some of the local radio stations
stream at low rates, but you will will have access to commercial free digital
radio from Rhapsody.
The Rhapsody Radio Stations are very similar to XM and Sirius
satellite radio. There are commercial free stations that include over 100
stations.
Each Sonos Zone-player also acts as a booster that will increase
the range of the Sonos Controller. The more Zone-players you have in your house
the more range you will receive.
The Zone-player has a built in 50-watt x 2 amplifier. You can
use an external subwoofer to boost the bass response if necessary.

iTunes Integration
Due to the encryption of all music that you download from iTunes
you can only play songs purchased from iTunes on your computer or on your iPod.
With a partnership from Rhapsody music service, Sonos has the ability to play
the songs that you download from iTunes. This is something that no other
multi-room system can achieve.
In order for you to play songs from iTunes on your Sonos System
you must have a subscription to Rhapsody music service. When you select a song
to play from iTunes, that is encrypted, the Sonos system will go out to
Rhapsody’s music service and start streaming you song from Rhapsody. All of this
is done almost instantly, without you ever knowing that music is playing from
rhapsody instead of your computer.
All of you playlists from iTunes will also appear on you Sonos
System. This allow you to make playlists for such events as Party Music, Dinner
Music, Easy Listening, or your favorite songs. Once you create a playlist, you
will be able to access it from the Sonos system. This makes using the Sonos
System Very Easy.
